02

How We Use It

Your data is used for the following purposes and nothing else:

Cloud Sync. Training data, programs, and wellness logs are stored in Firestore and associated with your account. This allows you to access your data across devices and restore it if you reinstall the app.

Autoregulation. Wellness logs you enter are processed on-device and used to adjust session load before you begin a workout. This data stays tied to your account and is not aggregated or analysed across users.

Analytics. Anonymous event data is collected via Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used in aggregate. This data cannot be tied back to an individual user.

Crash Reporting. Crash logs collected by Firebase Crashlytics are used solely to identify and fix software defects. They contain no personally identifiable information.

We do not sell or share your data

Your training data, wellness logs, and account information are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose.

03

Third-Party Services

Oxblood Barbell uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, linked below.

Firebase (Google) Provides authentication, Firestore database (cloud sync), Crashlytics (crash reporting), and Analytics. All Firebase services are subject to Google's Firebase Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In Allows users to authenticate using their Google account. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We only receive your email address and display name.
Google Fonts Fonts used in the web documentation pages are loaded from Google Fonts servers. This may log your IP address per Google's standard CDN logging. No fonts are loaded from Google inside the mobile app itself.
04

Data Retention & Deletion

Retention. Your account data and training logs are retained for as long as your account is active. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase for 14 months per Google's standard retention policy. Crash logs are retained for 90 days.

Account Deletion. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To do so:

1. Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account.

2. Confirm deletion. Your Firestore data, authentication record, and all training logs will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

3. Alternatively, email us at the address listed in the Contact section below with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process it within 7 business days.

What is deleted

Account deletion removes: your email, display name, all programs and training logs, all wellness entries, and all cloud sync data. Anonymous analytics and crash data cannot be retroactively deleted as it contains no identifier linking it back to you.

05

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under applicable law (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks). These rights include:

Access. Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.

Rectification. Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Erasure. Request deletion of your personal data (see Section 04 above).

Portability. Request your training data in a portable format (JSON export). Available in-app via Settings → Export Data.

Objection. Object to certain processing activities. As we do not use your data for advertising or profiling, this primarily applies to analytics event collection, which can be disabled in Settings → Privacy.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 06 below. We will respond within 30 days.
